To See Faraway

Lili Goldwein

Some 25,000 blind and visually impaired persons holding a blind person certificate live in Israel.

The community includes blinds from birth; a walking cane assists some, and guide dogs help about 300 people, many integrate in work circles.

Technology innovations currently provide greater accessibility, which results in increasing independence.

My goal is to meet a wide variety of audiences and introduce them to the world of the blinds.

Lili's story

My name is Lili Goldwein; I am 69 years old, and my mobility is with a guide dog. I am a mother of 4, and with my dear husband, Mickey we are fortunate to have nine grandchildren. Unfortunately, I lost my eyesight due to a genetic disease (Retinitis pigmentosa).
